Campaign site · Hawai'i

A campaign site has about four seconds.

Campaign traffic arrives in bursts, from a mention, a share or a doorstep conversation, and most of it is on a phone. The site has to answer who she is and what she stands for before the reader decides they have better things to do.

The Lauren Shim website

laurenshim.com, built and launched by InstantEdit.

What is live on the site

  • One clear message, five named priorities
  • Join and donate reachable from any point on the page
  • Built light so it loads fast on a phone

The constraint is attention, not information

The temptation on a campaign site is to publish everything: full policy documents, a long biography, an events calendar. That buries the two actions that actually matter, joining and donating, under material most visitors will never read.

What we built

A single declarative hero, then five clearly named priorities a reader can take in at a glance, then the ask. Longer material sits behind those headings for the people who want it, rather than in front of the people who do not. Join and donate are reachable from anywhere on the page.

Built to load anywhere

Campaign sites get shared into group chats and opened on old phones on patchy connections. This one is built light and static so it appears quickly regardless, because a page that takes six seconds has already lost most of the people a share just sent to it.

Your business, on a design like this.

Put your own name on one and see it live before you decide anything.
